How long do you keep my songs and files?

Your songs aren't going anywhere. Here is exactly what we keep, and for how long.

Your songs

Lyrics, chord charts, notation, and your song's settings stay in My Songs for as long as your account exists. Nothing about a song's written package ever expires.

Your audio

Every delivered MP3 and every paid Studio Master is kept indefinitely. Buy it once, it stays.

Raw instrument stems

The separated per-instrument WAV files are big, so we keep them for 30 days after your song is rendered. Download a stem in that window — on its own or inside any ZIP — and we keep it for you after that. A stem you never download expires 30 days after the render.

Expired stems don't touch anything else: your song, its MP3, and its Studio Master are unaffected. If you think you'll want the stems later, download them — they're yours to save.
